We have eaten out quite a bit since arriving.
Actually, we have eaten out more than we have eaten at home!
Dinner is cheap here – almost cheaper than buying groceries – and being out and about all day means we often stop in somewhere to eat dinner before going home.
The place we found tonight (Gerlóczy) was cosy and warm, and the food was amazing.
I had tiny round portions of saffron risotto with a seared scallop atop each, the plate drizzled with a creamy, tangy dressing, and saffron strands as garnish. The only downfall was that there were only three of these bite-sized morsels of flavour.
B ate a veal weiner schnitzel with warm potato salad and said it was the best he’s had.
Dessert was equally as delicious. Raspberry sorbet, bitter chocolate sauce, meringue sticks… proper creme brûlée… real hot chocolate. We will definitely go back for more.
