Budapest Twilight, a set on Flickr.
By far one of the best ‘touristy’ things we’ve done here in Budapest was take a boat ride on the Danube with Eliza when she was here.
We went at 8pm and the sun was setting – it made for some pleasing photography, except my camera battery was dying in the end (I’ve become forgetful re: charging) so some are from the iPhone. Having Eliza here really reminded me how much I do like this city and how beautiful it really is.
It doesn’t take long to become complacent once you live somewhere – I saw the castle district, the parliament building, the river and the amazing architecture every day and after a few months it was just what was normal for me. When someone else arrives and you show them around, your appreciation for your own place on earth, at that time, really does increase.
Thanks for coming all this way, Eliza. It was special. xx
