Murphy’s Law

Damn Murphy and his law! B has bronchitis. All winter in Australia he has been saying how amazing it is that he hasn’t been sick, then the moment we get away on our holiday, he comes down with something!

Yesterday we walked around the Jewish Quarter

and browsed in Printa and had coffee at My Little Melbourne. It was good coffee, considering Melbourne is coffee-snob city and Budapest makes it hard to find a decent coffee… I admit I am a little miffed that they have set up such a place, as it is something we have talked about doing a lot.

I spent the afternoon with a friend and her gorgeous 11 month old son. We walked from Vörösmarty utca to Hősök tere and around városliget to a little beer garden for a limonádé.

In the evening I caught up with Sally and she took me to Vintage Garden, a really cute place full of candles, fairy lights, flowers, floorboards and exposed brick. A very different concept in Budapest and very sweet. Nice cocktails too! I didn’t take any photos because I was too busy catching up with Sally, but here is one from
